As a fan of the genre, I've seen a lot of sf movies, and although there are several I like, these are my favorites. Let's start with "Blade Runner," a film filled with stunning imagery and serious issues about humanity. The next movie, Ex Machina, deals with similar topics in a more personal way. The cherry on top are the legendary action scenes and investigation of virtual reality in "The Matrix." All of these movies contain settings that are both rich and intricate, as well as characters who are compelling and themes that have stayed with me long after the last frame was movieed. There are so much great science-fiction movies out there that I could go on but these three will always remain my favourites.
